The tight-knit communities of Tamcliff and surrounding areas are mourning the loss of Jackie Dale Toler, 66, who passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. A beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, Jackie’s passing leaves a void filled with memories of his unwavering joy and mechanical skill.

Born May 28, 1959, in Man, WV, he was the son of Eugene Toler of Tamcliff and the late Zola Mae Robinson Toler. Jackie’s life was a testament to simple, profound pleasures. He was the heart of every family gathering, possessing a special gift for bringing laughter and a bright, happy spirit to all in his presence. His family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished being surrounded by their love.

A wonderful mechanic, Jackie found deep satisfaction in working on vehicles and solving problems with all manner of equipment. His passions extended to the open road, where he enjoyed riding his motorcycles and driving his old silver truck, as well as the excitement of local horse shows.

He was preceded in death by his mother; his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Nancy Robinson; his paternal grandparents, Garland and Betty Toler; brothers Fonnis Eugene and Terry Lee Toler; and a sister, Mary Ann Wiley.

His legacy of love continues through his precious father, Eugene, with whom he resided; his children, Carlos Eugene Toler, Wayman Toler, Jackie Paige Toler, and Piper Gail Toler; his adored grandchildren; and a large, loving family of siblings, extended family, and countless friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at the River View Freewill Baptist Church in Slab Town, with Rev. Joey Massey and Bro. Kenny Simpson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Clear Fork. Friends may gather with the family at the church from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21. The Stafford Family Funeral Home in Lynco is serving the family.

Jackie Dale Toler’s memory will forever be carried in the laughter of his grandchildren, the rumble of an engine, and the warm, cherished moments he created for everyone he held dear.
